Mode of Action |
The main content will be toxin protein of parasporal crystal. This kind of insecticidal crystal protein (ICP) will be generated at the last stage of spore growth of BTk.
When the ICP go into the alimentary canal of larva, the protein will be broke into δ-endotoxin by the alkalic duodenal juice. Then the midgut will stop working and become paralyzed, its epithelial cell dissociates. The larva will stop eating. Meanwhile, the spore will sprout in the midgut and go into the haemocoel for mass propagation. The insect will die for septicemia. |
